We demand from our employees high work standards, as well as, courtesy and respect for all our clients and their personal property. Y&M uses both in-house training and third-party training practices. Upon hiring, personnel receive service location specific orientation and practical training. Y&M utilizes the services of a third-party company to manage our health and safety and WHMIS training to ensure compliance with Ontario Labour regulations. Continuous training occurs when either new processes are introduced, SOPs are edited or changes occur within the location that require adjustments in process and schedules.
Key to the success of maintenance or cleaning the services location is the selection, training, evaluation/auditing, and connective training of personnel. The process starts with the selection of personnel that "fit" the Environment. We select personnel that can accommodate the unique hours of work (midnight shift), their ability to get to the store (transportation during non-prime hours and inclement weather), have the right attitude to perform the work and are conscientious in their performance. Upon award and discussion with services location facility management team, any existing associates that are presently servicing the location and providing service and communication to service location will be considered.
